Paediatrics Orthopaedic Fellowship at Queensland Children’s Hospital

This fellowship covers all aspects of paediatric orthopaedics. The specialist areas of interest are Perthes’ disease, SUFE, DDH, CTEV and limb reconstruction. The fellow is also involved in treating other congenital, developmental, neuromuscular, spinal, traumatic, MSK infection and upper limb conditions. Operative management is undertaken on a clinical need priority system, with flexibility of theatre time. Referrals are received from Brisbane, the greater Queensland area and northern New South Wales.

Paediatric Orthopaedics Fellowships at The Westmead Children's Hospital, Sydney

The Orthopaedic Department of the Westmead Children's Hospital offers 2 general paediatric orthopaedic fellowships 

The fellowships provide broad based training in Paediatric Orthopaedics with a focus on trauma, hip, neuromuscular conditions, deformity correction and limb lengthening, knee and sports surgery and foot and ankle surgery, as well as congenital hand and upper limb. Separate Fellowships are available for Paediatric/Adult Spine Deformity and Paediatric/Adult Knee. The Orthopaedic Department has 5 teaching sessions per week for Fellows and Registrars as well as interactive teaching in the elective outpatient clinics. Fellows participate in an on call roster on a 1 in 6 basis. Clinical responsibilities include operative and outpatient work. Two 12-month fellowships in Paediatric Orthopaedics are available at The Children's Hospital at Westmead, one commencing in February and on in August each year.
